The Thunderbird from Lone Star Ropes is a head team roping rope designed with unique engineering to provide exceptional balance, consistency, and performance. Developed in collaboration with NFR legend Patrick Smith, this rope combines a 4-strand nylon/polyester blend construction with a multi-directional double-twisted core.

This design allows the core to perfectly counterbalance the rope, providing a consistent feel from the swing to the catch. The Thunderbird has a very well-distributed weight and easily adapts to different weather conditions.

Each rope is precisely tuned to deliver consistent performance from the first use. The coils and hondo are factory-adjusted and hand-finished, eliminating the break-in period while helping to extend the rope's lifespan.
